Luke got me a subscription to Birchbox this year, and I have been loving it! I’m one of those people who LOVE to get things in the mail, and this is like getting a present every month!

It has replaced my usual makeup purchases, with the exception of foundation and eyeliner. On average I’d spend around $10-15 a month just trying out new products I saw or buying new nail polishes or lipsticks (seriously love lipstick over here!). Aside from when Luke sent me to Ulta to buy makeup for an anniversary present, I’ve not bought any extra makeup this year! Mostly because I’ve discovered some really awesome products through Birchbox!

Birchbox is $10 a month, and you get a box filled with around 5 makeup, skincare, or “lifestyle” products like perfumes, hair pins, shampoos…I’ve even gotten chocolate in mine before! I have received 6 full-sized beauty products in the 10 months I’ve been subscribed, and tried things I might have never had the opportunity to try before. I’ve also found that some of the cult-classic products from more expensive brands really are worth the splurge, and some aren’t. These are my favorite Birchbox samples so far…

1// Chapstick Hydration Lock (out of stock on Birchbox, but I’ve seen it at Target!) – This was an extra product in last month’s box, and I use it constantly now. It’s perfect underneath lipstick to keep my lips from getting chapped in the dry desert.

2// Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso ($22/full size) – This is my perfect red lipstick! I have more blue-ish tones in my skin so for me, this red is perfect and not at all orangey (even though it looks that way in the picture…go figure). And once I figured out how to apply it correctly, it really does stay all day! I’ll do a post on that soon!

3// theBalm Staniac Lip Stain in Beauty Queen ($17/full size) – The perfect pinky flushed color for your lips when you are going for the no-makeup look…or are just in a hurry!

4// Cargo Water Resistant Blush in Los Cabos ($26/full size) – I wil absolutely be buying this again, and again, and again…although I’ve barely used any of the sample size, even though I use it almost every day for the last few months! This blush is coral, with flecks of gold in it that give a perfect flush to my vampire-pale skin.

5// ModelCo Party Proof Lipstick ($24/trio of lipsticks) – This is one of the full-size products I’ve gotten, and it’s a gorgeous bright pink! Also, I’m a sucker for gorgeous packaging.

6// Sukiface Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser in Lemongrass Extract + Natural Sugar ($32.95/full size) – I’m not sure if I’d buy this again given that it’s on the expensive side, but it would be something I’d love to. It smells amazing, and it exfoliates nicely without being too rough.

7// Color Club & Color Club + Birchbox Nail Polishes in Reign in Spain, Baldwin Blues, and London Calling ($8/for the Wanderlust Collection (coral and mint and comes with two more colors), BB is out of Baldwin Blues atm, but here are the rest of the fall colors!) – I’ve loved all the nail polishes I’ve received through Birchbox, and these three are my favorites. The coral and mint colors are the perfect summery neons, while the blue is just the right shade for crisp fall days.

P.S. No, this isn’t a sponsored post…I just really love Birchbox…and makeup! I do get points if you sign up for it using my link, however. :) If you already get Birchbox, let me know what your favorites have been!
