OUR WEEKEND // A DEAR FRIEND AND TALKING TOO MUCH

I was SO glad that my friend Elisabeth take time out of her West Coast trip to come see us…and selfishly, I didn’t want to give her back at the end of it! I’ve missed spending time with her, and we have plans to keep in touch and write a lot more…and hopefully see each other again soon! Here’s what we did this weekend…
Elisabeth visits the desert

The boys love Elisabeth, but say that we talk too much. ;)

Fish and Chips // Lemon Grove, Ca
When Luke and I went down to pick her up, we found a hole-in-the-wall fish & chips joint. It was so delicious…I got fish and chips and scallops, Luke had chicken along with his fish & chips and we shared some hush puppies. Deee-lish.

Trigger
We visited Trigger and found Roy Rogers and Dale Evans gravesites.

Peanut butter and hard cider
When you’re a mom of young boys, you eat peanut butter a lot. When you’re a twenty-something, hard cider goes great with it. We had “gourmet” peanut butter with blood orange Mike’s Hard. Yum.

Sad they weren't the funky shoes
We went bowling with the boys, and were disappointed that the shoes weren’t the crazy-looking lace-up kind. We didn’t let it bother us too much, because Elisabeth wound up in the championship round against Luke, and won! ;)

Bowling balls for all

I love all the variety in the bowling balls, but always stick with just one when bowling.

Brothers and nephews and only two girls ;)

And it’s pretty much impossible to get a family this big to all look at the camera all at the same time. Close enough. :)

Linking up with Mary Beth!
